Open-Face Pear and Walnut Breakfast Sandwich
Yield: Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
2
pears, peeled and chopped

1/2
cup unsweetened applesauce

3
tablespoons chopped walnuts

2
tablespoons sucralose

1/2
teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4
teaspoon ground nutmeg

4
slices multi-grain bread

1/3
cup finely shredded Swiss cheese

Chopped dried cranberries



 
Preparation:
1.
Preheat oven to 425°F. Combine pears, applesauce, walnuts, sucralose, cinnamon and nutmeg in small bowl.

2.
Toast bread; top evenly with pear mixture. Place on nonstick baking sheet. Top each sandwich evenly with Swiss cheese. Bake 8 minutes.

3.
Garnish with cranberries.
