I went to Atlanta for the Fourth of July and one of my ever so innovative friends made what she likes to call an adult wine cooler. It was fresh watermelon puree that she grew herself, organic vodka, and a light and crisp white wine or sparkling wine. They were phenomenal. Basically, these ain't the Bartles and Jaymes you got with your fake id in high school.
I'm a fan of Square One organic vodka, though these days there are quite a few from which to choose. Square One is the good stuff, made from all organic rye. Their fermentation process is also completely organic whereas conventional fermentation uses genetically modified yeasts and synthetic de-foaming agents.
Additionally, choose an organic white wine or even better some organic bubby like Champagne Prestige Millesime 1997, NV Pierre Brigandat Brut Réserve (Biodynamic), or NV Albert Mann Crémant d'Alsace (Organic).
