Today is the grasping-at-straws version of the party as mentioned in my first post about an Oscar-themed party. Some of these films don't really work in relation to foods so I'm just going to have to go out on a limb and be silly.
So far I've covered:
No Country for Old Men: Spicy Beef and Red Bean Chili. Beverage of choice: Agua
There Will Be Blood: Falafel (fried in oil). Beverage of choice: a milkshake.
Viggo Mortensen in Eastern Promises: Borscht. Beverage of choice: Forget the trendy Grey Goose, it's Stoli all the way.
That leaves us with:Juno: Orange Tic Tacs. Beverage of choice: A blue slushy.
Michael Clayton: A hunk of beefcake (thanks for the joke, Lloyd!) or a bag of baguettes. Beverage of choice: A stiff scotch.
Atonement: An Ammo chocolate bar: Beverage of choice: a chocolate martini.
Marion Cotillard in La Vie en Rose: An Edith Pilaf, perhaps? (Thanks for the joke, Emma.) Beverage of choice: Many, many bottles of red wine.
Julie Christie in Away from Her: I'm sorry, I forgot to make dinner.
Hal Holbrook in Into the Wild: A bag of rice. Beverage of choice: Water.
Ruby Dee in American Gangster: A turkey with all the trimmings. Beverage of choice: A little coffee with your sugar.
Amy Ryan in Gone Baby Gone: Anything you serve will land you in jail.
Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth: The Golden Age: This movie was too boring to think of anything.
