Parsley-Basil Pesto

This recipe is part of the recipe for Pesto Cheese Wreath


Makes about 1/2 cup


2 cups fresh parsley
1/4 cup pine nuts or slivered almonds
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, peeled
1 tablespoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil


  1. Process all ingredients except oil in food processor or blender until finely chopped. With machine running, add oil gradually, processing until mixture is smooth.
