French Toast is not only for Europeans. Anyone in the world can appreciate a hearty helping of toast dipped in egg, cooked and dusted with sugar and drowned in hot syrup.

Peanut Butter and Jelly French Toast

Yield: Makes 6 servings
Ingredients:
1
banana, sliced

2
tablespoons orange juice

2
tablespoons peanuts, chopped

1
tablespoon honey

6
slices whole wheat bread

1/4
cup grape jelly (or favorite flavor)

1/4
cup peanut butter

2
eggs

1/4
cup milk

2
tablespoons butter



Preparation:
1.
Combine banana, orange juice, peanuts and honey in small bowl; set aside. Spread 3 slices of bread with jelly and 3 slices with peanut butter. Press peanut butter and jelly slices together to form 3 sandwiches; cut each sandwich diagonally in half.

Beat eggs and milk in shallow bowl. Dip sandwiches in egg mixture. Melt butter in large nonstick griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook sandwiches about 2 minutes on each side or until lightly browned.

3.
Serve French toast warm; top with banana mixture.
