As I mentioned yesterday, seltzer bottles account for an awful lot of the plastic in my kitchen. My husband and I are pretty addicted to raspberry lime seltzer, not to mention most of the entire Polar diet soda range (yes, diet pomegranate soda is delicious; I will not comment on their concept of diet fudge soda).

We buy 2-4 two-liter bottles of seltzer per week and I do recycle them religiously, but ever since I learned about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, which contains a heck of a lot of soda bottles, I've been wondering if there is a greener way.

And it turns out, with the right equipment, you can make your own seltzer at home. Keep reading to learn three seltzer-makers that I'm dying to try.
