Smashed Potatoes

INGREDIENTS
| 12 | ounces small red potatoes (about 8) |
| 1 | teaspoon salt |
| 3 | tablespoons sour cream* |
| 3 | tablespoons unsalted butter |
| 1 | tablespoon milk |
| 1 | tablespoon chopped fresh chives (optional) |
PREPARATION:
- Bring enough water to cover potatoes by 2 inches to a boil in medium pot over high heat; reduce to vigorous simmer. Cook until tender, about 20 minutes.
- Drain and transfer to medium bowl. Add salt, sour cream, butter and milk, and mash with potato masher until blended.
