Snowball Bites
Yield: Makes about 2-1/2 dozen cookies
Ingredients:
1
package (18 ounces) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
3/4
cup all-purpose flour
2
tablespoons honey or maple syrup
1
cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Powdered sugar
Preparation:
1.
Let dough stand at room temperature about 15 minutes.
2.
Beat dough, flour and honey in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Stir in walnuts. Shape dough into disk; wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Refrigerate dough at least 2 hours or up to 2 days.
3.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place powdered sugar in small bowl; set aside. Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls; place 1-1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
4.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until bottoms are browned. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar. Cool completely on wire racks. Just before serving, roll cookies in additional powdered sugar, if desired.
