Spicy Ale Shrimp
YIELD Makes 15 to 20 shrimp

INGREDIENTS
| 3 | bottles (12 ounces each) pilsner beer, divided |
| 1 | tablespoon seafood boil seasoning blend |
| 1 | teaspoon mustard seeds |
| 1 | teaspoon red pepper flakes |
| 1 | lemon, sliced into quarters |
| 1 | pound raw large shrimp (15 to 20 count), deveined and shelled except for tails |
| Dipping Sauce (recipe) | |
PREPARATION:
- Pour one bottle of beer into large bowl half-filled with ice; set aside.
- Add remaining 2 bottles of beer, seafood boil seasoning, mustard seeds and red pepper flakes intp 1-gallon stockpot. Squeeze lemon juice into pot, add lemon quarters. Bring beer mixture to simmer over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp. Cover; remove from heat. Let sit 3 minutes to cook shrimp. Drain; transfer shrimp to bowl of chilled beer and ice cubes. When cool, remove shrimp from bowl; arrange on platter. Serve with Dipping Sauce.
