Spicy Molasses Cookies

INGREDIENTS

1 package (18 ounces) refrigerated oatmeal raisin cookie dough
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup molasses
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk

PREPARATION:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Let dough stand at room temperature about 15 minutes.
  2. Combine dough, flour, molasses, ginger, cinnamon and cloves in large bowl; beat until well blended. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets.
  3. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until centers are set. Cool on cookie sheets 1 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
  4. Mix powdered sugar and milk in small bowl until smooth; add additional milk, if necessary, until desired drizzling consistency is reached. Drizzle icing over cooled cookies; let stand until set.
