Spicy Oatmeal Combos

INGREDIENTS

1 package (18 ounces) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1 package (18 ounces) refrigerated oatmeal raisin cookie dough
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1‑1/4 teaspoons ground ginger

PREPARATION:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Let both packages of dough stand at room temperature about 15 minutes.
  2. Combine sugar dough, cocoa and ginger in large bowl; beat until well blended. Gently stir in oatmeal dough just until marbled. (Do not mix doughs thoroughly.) Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls; place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets.
  3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light brown. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheets. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
Tip
You can find a variety of colored and patterned Chinese take-out boxes at craft, stationery and party supply stores.
