3 cups chopped onion
1/2 cup mild salsa
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

  1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover; cook on LOW 7 to 8 hours or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours until onions are very tender.
  2. Serve at room temperature as a condiment for roast pork or chicken or chilled over cream cheese.
