We all do it, me included. We seasonally yo-yo. When summertime comes around we amp up our exercise routines so we can slim down just enough to look fab in our bathing suits. Then as soon as cold weather comes, we slack off and let the weight roll back on as if we are packing on extra heat-producing pounds to endure the winter. We aren't bears. No need to prepare to hibernate here. I get it, you want the liberty to indulge a bit more (now that you can). But that doesn't mean you need to go full throttle and make up for the lost calories you didn't consume during the summer. And, ahem, all of that gorging—not so green. By upping your intake you are also putting more stress on our resources.

When it comes to the environment, here is why you've got to stop the yo-yo'ing:

- You are eating more, so you are putting more stress on already limited resources.

- You are working out hard come summertime, so you are likely on the treadmill, at the gym, consuming mass amount of electricity that you wouldn't have to consume had you just not consumed everything in sight through the winter.

- You are multiple clothing sizes throughout the year, so you have waaaay too many clothes.
