Trenta? Starbucks Adds To Portion Distortion By Launching 31 Oz Coffee

The Trenta—that's right 31 oz of caffeine jitter bliss. According to Eater, Starbucks is about to introduce the Big Gulp of coffee for all those that felt the Venti (20 oz.) just wasn't enough. The Trenta will appear in Starbucks in fourteen states including Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Hawaii, and Arizona on January 18, California on February 1, and nationwide May 3. If Starbucks is marketing this colossal cup O' Joe then they must think they have the audience for it.

This doesn't help our vastly over served country. So this brings to light the big picture issue: How big are American servings compared to other cultures? While many claim that our serving sizes are much bigger, what are the numbers?
