Yield: Makes 3 cups
Ingredients:

tablespoons olive oil

1/2
cup chopped onion

2
cloves garlic, minced

8
plum tomatoes, coarsely chopped

1
can (8 ounces) tomato sauce

1
teaspoon each chopped fresh basil, oregano and rosemary

1/2
teaspoon salt

1/2
teaspoon black pepper



 
Preparation:
1.
Heat olive oil heat in medium nonstick saucepan over medium heat until hot. Add onion; cook and stir about 4 minutes or until tender. Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.

Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, fresh herbs, salt and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, about 6 minutes or until desired consistency is reached, stirring occasionally.
