The idea started with the Post Punk Kitchen's Isa Chandra Moskowitz, and it's spreading around the country. If you live in a city where one is already planned, ask if you can help out or just swing by and buy some treats. If not, get some friends together, start baking, and help Haiti!
Need recipes?
Isa has more vegan cookie recipes than you know what to do with (including Mexican Hot Chocolate Snickerdoodles—mmm!), keep it simple with chocolate chip cookies, or be a little more ambitious with delectable treats like pumpkin pie brownies and vegan popcorn balls.
(If you need organizing tips, check out PPK's advice for getting it together fast.)
When you're all done...
Plenty of organizations to choose from to send the money you raised, both for immediate relief and to help in the longer-term. So whether you raise $10 or $1,000, people in Haiti can use the help—and who in the U.S. can't use a vegan treat!
