Waffle
Yield: Makes about 6 round waffles
Ingredients:
2-1/4
cups all-purpose flour
2
tablespoons sugar
1
tablespoon baking powder
1/2
teaspoon salt
2
cups milk
2
eggs, beaten
1/4
cup vegetable oil
Preparation:
1.
Preheat waffle iron; grease lightly.

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Combine milk, eggs and oil in medium bowl. Stir liquid ingredients into dry ingredients until moistened.

For each waffle, pour about 3/4 cup batter onto waffle iron. Close lid and bake until steaming stops.* Garnish as desired.
*Check the manufacturer's directions for recommended amount of batter and baking time.
Chocolate Waffles:
Substitute 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder for 1/4 cup flour and add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract to liquid ingredients. Proceed as directed above.Tip:
For crispier waffles, use less batter and let them cook for a few seconds longer after the steaming has stopped.
