Waffle
YIELD Makes about 6 round waffles

INGREDIENTS
| 2‑1/4 | cups all-purpose flour |
| 2 | tablespoons sugar |
| 1 | tablespoon baking powder |
| 1/2 | teaspoon salt |
| 2 | cups milk |
| 2 | eggs, beaten |
| 1/4 | cup vegetable oil |
PREPARATION:
- Preheat waffle iron; grease lightly.
- Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Combine milk, eggs and oil in medium bowl. Stir liquid ingredients into dry ingredients until moistened.
- For each waffle, pour about 3/4 cup batter onto waffle iron. Close lid and bake until steaming stops.* Garnish as desired.
*Check the manufacturer's directions for recommended amount of batter and baking time.
Chocolate Waffles
Substitute 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder for 1/4 cup flour and add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract to liquid ingredients. Proceed as directed above.
Tip
For crispier waffles, use less batter and let them cook for a few seconds longer after the steaming has stopped.
