Walnut Cheddar Apple Bread
Yield: Makes 1 loaf (16 slices)
Ingredients:

cup packed light brown sugar
2
teaspoons baking powder
1
cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2
cup coarsely chopped walnuts
Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 9X5-inch loaf pan.

Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla until blended. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Add flour mixture to butter mixture on low speed alternately with sour cream and milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix well after each addition. Stir in cheese, apples and walnuts. Spoon batter into prepared pan.

Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack. Store tightly wrapped in plastic wrap at room temperature.
