Is it really possible to lose weight without doing any exercise at all? Sure is! And the good news is that you don't have to expose your body to potentially dangerous extremes—like taking diet pills, going under the knife, or having an eating disorder—to do it. In fact, there is a newly found fat-fighting ingestible that's both good for the environment and your body: white tea.
The Facts About Fat Cells
Before you understand how white tea fights fat, it make sense to first understand how fat gets fatter: Fat cells have the ability of not only increasing in quantity (a one-way street considering that they can't reduce in quantity unless extracted?lipo), but they can increase (and decrease) in size too.
In a recent study from Beiersdorf AG, Germany, scientists exposed human fat cells to white tea extract. The result? The individual cells incorporated as much as 70 percent less fat. Many diet pills are created to minimize fat cells' ability to engorge with more fat, enlarging the cells and therefore your body. Problem is, diet pills are often made from chemicals, packaged in plastic, and can have serious side effects in the body. And then there's organic white tea that's grown without the use of pesticedes, and dried naturally.
Why Does White Tea Whittle Away Fat?
White tea is made from the buds and baby leaves of the same plants that produce both green and black teas. But don't be so quick to discount their infantile state. Researchers have found that white tea can significantly reduce your body?s ability to accumulate fat by hindering fat cells' ability to incorporate more fat, therefore minimizing their expansion. What makes the baby white so brawny? Less processed than green and black teas, white tea is able to retain more antioxidants and caffeine. When introduced to fat cells, these active compounds go to work to metabolize fat faster. White tea, the commonly considered "stepchild" to the more popular green tea, takes the fat fighting role even further, stimulating the breakdown of fat from already formed fat cells, forcing the cells to shrink.
So stock up your pantry with your favorite waist whittling organic white tea (organic is key if you want it to be truly "green") or grow your own tea at home. And, of course, if you want to up your weight loss potential, add in a little green exercise too. Remember, a healthy green lifestyle is a balanced lifestyle.
