Whole-Wheat Oatmeal Cookies
Yield: Makes 40 cookies
Few things will produce a smile as quickly as a plate full of homemade oatmeal cookies!
Ingredients:
1
cup whole wheat flour

1
teaspoon ground cinnamon

1
teaspoon baking powder

1/2
teaspoon baking soda

1/2
teaspoon salt

1
cup packed light brown sugar

1/4
cup unsweetened applesauce

2
egg whites

2
tablespoons margarine

1-1/2
teaspoons vanilla

1-1/3
cups uncooked quick oats

1/2
cup raisins



Preparation:
1.
Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly spray cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

Combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt in medium bowl; mix well.

3.
Combine brown sugar, applesauce, egg whites, margarine and vanilla in large bowl. Mix until small crumbs form. Add flour mixture; mix well. Fold in oats and raisins.

4.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire racks.
