Makes 12 servings
|1||package (18-1/4 ounces) cake mix (any flavor), plus ingredients to prepare mix|
|1||container (16 ounces) chocolate frosting|
|1||container (16 ounces) caramel frosting|
|Hard candies, nuts, large candy corn, yellow gummy worms and black jelly beans for decoration|
|Black and red decorating gels|
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions in 13X9-inch baking pan. Cool in pan on wire rack 15 minutes. Remove cake from pan; cool completely on wire rack.
- Cut cake in half crosswise to form two 6-1/2X4-1/2-inch layers. Place 1 layer on serving platter. Spread 1/2 of chocolate frosting over bottom layer. Top with second layer. Spread remaining chocolate frosting over top and sides of cake.
- Spoon caramel frosting over top of cake. Use back of spoon to pull frosting into points to resemble fur. Decorate face with assorted candies and decorating gels as desired.
