Makes 12 servings

Ingredients

1 package (18-1/4 ounces) cake mix (any flavor), plus ingredients to prepare mix
1 container (16 ounces) chocolate frosting
1 container (16 ounces) caramel frosting
Hard candies, nuts, large candy corn, yellow gummy worms and black jelly beans for decoration
Black and red decorating gels

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions in 13X9-inch baking pan. Cool in pan on wire rack 15 minutes. Remove cake from pan; cool completely on wire rack.
  2. Cut cake in half crosswise to form two 6-1/2X4-1/2-inch layers. Place 1 layer on serving platter. Spread 1/2 of chocolate frosting over bottom layer. Top with second layer. Spread remaining chocolate frosting over top and sides of cake.
  3. Spoon caramel frosting over top of cake. Use back of spoon to pull frosting into points to resemble fur. Decorate face with assorted candies and decorating gels as desired.
