Bananas Flambé


Makes 2 servings


1 large banana
4 teaspoons honey
4 teaspoons chopped walnuts
4 teaspoons brandy


  1. Cut unpeeled banana in half lengthwise; place in small flameproof dish. Drizzle cut surface of each half with 2 teaspoons honey and sprinkle with walnuts. On top rack of preheated oven broiler, broil banana about 5 minutes or until heated but not burnt. Remove from broiler. Pour brandy over top and flame.


Orange blossom honey is particularly good in this dessert.
