Makes 6 to 8 servings
|1-1/2||quarts (6 cups) cranapple juice cocktail|
|1||small orange, thinly sliced|
|1/4||cup firmly packed light brown sugar|
|1||cup brandy or cognac|
- Combine all ingredients except brandy in a large saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and add brandy. Ladle into mugs, leaving cinnamon sticks and cloves in saucepan; garnish with sliced oranges if desired.
Punch may be prepared in a crockpot. Combine all ingredients except brandy in a large crockpot; cover and turn heat to high until punch is very hot, about 1 hour. Stir in brandy; turn heat to low. Punch may be kept warm and served from crockpot up to 2 hours.
