Makes 16 servings
|1||cup brown sugar|
|1/2||cup granulated sugar|
|1/3||cup unsweetened Dutch process cocoa powder|
|1||cup peanut butter chips|
|1||cup all-purpose flour|
|1/2||teaspoon baking powder|
|1/2||cup semisweet chocolate chips|
|1/2||cup walnuts (optional)|
- Layer all ingredients in wide-mouth 1-quart glass jar in the following order: brown sugar, granulated sugar, cocoa, peanut butter chips, flour, baking powder, salt, chocolate chips and walnuts, if desired. Tap jar gently on counter to settle each layer before adding the next ingredient.
- Close jar securely. Attach gift card with these baking directions (see below) to jar neck with ribbon.
- Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 8X8X2-inch baking pan. Combine 1 stick melted and cooled unsalted butter with 2 slightly beaten eggs, in large bowl. Gently stir in contents of jar. Spread mixture evenly in prepared pan. Bake 35 minutes or until edges begin to pull away from pan. Cool in pan. Cut into bars.
