Chocolate Fondue with Fresh Fruit
Makes 8 servings
|3||tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder|
|1||cup heavy cream, divided|
|4||ounces (1/2 cup) cream cheese, cut in chunks|
|3||tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon sucralose-based sugar substitute|
|24||green or red seedless grapes|
|12||small to medium strawberries, halved, or 6 large strawberries, quartered|
- Combine cocoa and 1/2 cup cream in small saucepan or fondue pot over low heat; whisk to mix completely. When cocoa mixture is hot and thick, add remaining cream and cream cheese. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and thick. Add sucralose and vanilla; stir to mix.
- Keep fondue warm over very low heat. Arrange strawberries and grapes on a plate. Use wooden skewers or fondue forks for dipping.
Substitute fruit in season for the grapes and strawberries.
