Cinnamon-Pecan Pull-Apart Bread

Makes 1 (2-pound) loaf

1-1/4 cups water
1/4 cup butter, softened
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup raisins

  1. Measuring carefully, place all dough ingredients in bread machine pan in order specified by owner's manual. Program dough cycle setting; press start. Combine sugar, pecans and cinnamon in shallow bowl. Grease 12-cup tube pan; set aside.
  2. When cycle is complete, remove dough to lightly floured surface. If necessary, knead in additional all-purpose flour to make dough easy to handle. Divide dough in half; shape each half into twenty balls. Dip balls first in melted butter, then in cinnamon-pecan mixture. Arrange 20 balls in bottom of prepared pan. Sprinkle with raisins; top with remaining 20 balls. Cover with clean towel; let rise in warm, draft-free place 45 minutes or until doubled in size.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake 25 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack.
