Makes 1 (2-pound) loaf
|1/4||cup butter, softened|
|4||cups all-purpose flour|
|2||teaspoons active dry yeast|
|3/4||cup finely chopped pecans|
|1-1/2||teaspoons ground cinnamon|
|1/2||cup butter, melted|
- Measuring carefully, place all dough ingredients in bread machine pan in order specified by owner's manual. Program dough cycle setting; press start. Combine sugar, pecans and cinnamon in shallow bowl. Grease 12-cup tube pan; set aside.
- When cycle is complete, remove dough to lightly floured surface. If necessary, knead in additional all-purpose flour to make dough easy to handle. Divide dough in half; shape each half into twenty balls. Dip balls first in melted butter, then in cinnamon-pecan mixture. Arrange 20 balls in bottom of prepared pan. Sprinkle with raisins; top with remaining 20 balls. Cover with clean towel; let rise in warm, draft-free place 45 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake 25 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack.
