Cinnamon Trail Mix
More healthful than fat-laden chips, this spicy-sweet snack mix is sure to be a lunch box favorite for kids and adults alike.
Makes 8 (3/4-cup) servings
|2||cups corn cereal squares|
|2||cups whole wheat cereal squares or whole wheat cereal squares with mini graham crackers|
|1-1/2||cups fat-free oyster crackers|
|1/2||cup broken sesame snack sticks|
|2||tablespoons butter, melted|
|1||teaspoon ground cinnamon|
|1/4||teaspoon ground nutmeg|
|1/2||cup bite-size fruit-flavored candy pieces|
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 13X9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place cereals, oyster crackers and sesame sticks in prepared pan; mix lightly.
- Combine butter, cinnamon and nutmeg in small bowl; mix well. Drizzle evenly over cereal mixture; toss to coat.
- Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown, stirring gently after 6 minutes. Cool completely. Stir in candies.
