Makes 2 cups
|3/4||cup butter, softened|
|4-1/2||cups powdered sugar, sifted|
|1/4||teaspoon almond extract|
- Beat butter in medium bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until smooth. Add 2 cups sugar. Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add water and extracts. Beat at low speed until well blended, scraping down side of bowl once. Beat in remaining 2-1/2 cups sugar until mixture is creamy.
This frosting is perfect for piping, but is less durable than Royal Icing. Bumping, stacking and handling may damage decorations.
