Feelin' Good Vegetable Soup
Prep Time 15 minutes
Makes 4 (1-cup) servings
|1/2||pound ground turkey or ground beef|
|1||can (14-1/2 ounces) reduced-sodium chicken or beef broth|
|1||can (8 ounces) tomato sauce|
|1/2||cup uncooked small shell pasta|
|1||teaspoon chili powder or Cajun seasoning|
|1/2||teaspoon dried basil|
|1/8||teaspoon garlic powder|
|1-1/2||cups frozen mixed vegetables|
- Brown turkey in medium saucepan 6 to 8 minutes over medium-high heat, stirring to break up meat. Drain fat. Stir in broth, tomato sauce, pasta, chili powder, basil and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 5 minutes.
- Stir in frozen vegetables. Bring to a boil. Simmer, covered, 5 minutes or until pasta is tender. Serve immediately.
