Makes about 3/4 cup
|1||medium tomato, finely chopped|
|1/4||cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro|
|2||tablespoons finely chopped white onion|
|1||fresh jalapeño pepper,* seeded and finely chopped|
|1||tablespoon fresh lime juice|
*Jalapeño peppers can sting and irritate the skin, so wear rubber gloves when handling peppers and do not touch your eyes.
- Combine all ingredients in small bowl; mix well. Let stand, covered, at room temperature 1 to 2 hours to blend flavors.
