Garlicky Baked Chicken


Makes 4 to 6 servings


1-1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon peanut or vegetable oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Chinese hot mustard
1 broiler-fryer chicken, cut up (about 3-1/2 pounds) or 3-1/2 pounds chicken parts, skinned, if desired


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheet with foil. Combine bread crumbs, garlic and oil in shallow dish.
  2. Combine soy sauce and mustard in small bowl; brush evenly over chicken. Dip chicken in bread crumb mixture to coat evenly and lightly. Place on prepared baking sheet.
  3. Bake chicken 45 to 55 minutes or until chicken is cooked through (180°F).
