|8||slices rye bread or whole wheat bread|
|6||ounces thinly sliced reduced-fat Cheddar cheese|
|4||ounces thinly sliced Canadian bacon|
|1||plum tomato, thinly sliced|
|2||teaspoons toasted wheat germ|
|Nontick cooking spray|
|2||teaspoons butter or margarine|
- Top four bread slices with half of cheese. Layer bacon and tomato slices and tomato on top. Sprinkle with wheat germ. Top with remaining cheese and bread slices.
- Spray nonstick griddle or large nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Cook sandwiches over medium heat about 5 minutes or until toasted. Turn sandwiches. Add butter to griddle. Cook 4 to 5 minutes more or until cheese melts and sandwiches are toasted.
