Makes 4 servings
|1||pound 95% lean ground beef|
|3/4||cup thinly sliced mushrooms|
|1/4||cup finely chopped onion|
|1/8||teaspoon black pepper|
|1/3||cup barbecue sauce|
|4||hamburger buns, split and toasted|
|4||slices fresh red tomato|
- In large bowl, combine beef, mushrooms, chopped onion, salt and pepper. Shape into 4 (1-inch-thick) patties.
- Place patties on grill rack directly above medium coals. Grill, uncovered, until no longer pink in center (160°F), turning and brushing often with barbecue sauce. Place patties on buns with lettuce, tomato and sliced onion.
