|Quick Barbecue Sauce|
|1||pound 93% fat-free ground turkey|
|1/2||cup cholesterol-free egg substitute|
|2||cups crushed bran flakes cereal (4 cups uncrushed)|
|1/4||cup chopped onion|
|1/4||cup chopped celery|
|1/4||cup chopped green bell pepper|
|1/4||cup chopped red bell pepper|
|1/2||teaspoon dry mustard|
|1/2||teaspoon black pepper|
- Prepare Quick Barbecue Sauce; set aside. Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine turkey and egg substitute in large bowl. Add bran flakes, onion, celery, bell peppers, dry mustard and black pepper; mix well. Turn out onto waxed paper. Divide into six portions. Shape into 1-inch-thick round or square patties.
- Place patties about 1 inch apart in 13X9-inch baking pan. Spread 1 tablespoon Quick Barbecue Sauce on each patty.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until meat is no longer pink in center. Serve with remaining sauce.
