Makes 6 to 8 servings
|1/2||pound 90% lean ground beef|
|1||small onion, chopped|
|8||bacon strips, chopped|
|1||can (about 15 ounces) pinto beans, undrained|
|1||can (about 15 ounces) butter beans, rinsed and drained, reserve 1/4 cup liquid|
|1||can (about 15 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained|
|1/2||teaspoon dry mustard|
|1/2||cup granulated sugar|
|1/4||cup packed brown sugar|
- Brown ground beef, onion and bacon in medium saucepan over high heat. Stir in beans and liquid; set aside.
- Combine ketchup, molasses and mustard in medium bowl. Mix in sugars. Stir ketchup mixture into beef mixture; mix well. Transfer to slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 2 to 3 hours or until heated through.
