Makes about 1 cup
|1||medium white onion|
|1||or 2 fresh jalapeño peppers*|
|3||tablespoons fresh lime juice|
- Cut onion and peppers lengthwise into halves. Remove and discard seeds from peppers. Cut onion and pepper halves lengthwise into very thin slices; separate into slivers.
- Combine all ingredients in small bowl; mix well. Let stand, covered, at room temperature 2 hours to blend flavors.
