Peppy Snack Mix
If you are closely watching the sodium in your diet, make this recipe with sodium-free rice cakes and low-sodium pretzels.
Makes 6 (2/3-cup) servings
|3||(3-inch) plain rice cakes, broken into bite-size pieces|
|1-1/2||cups bite-size frosted shredded wheat biscuit cereal|
|3/4||cup pretzel sticks, halved|
|3||tablespoons reduced-fat margarine, melted|
|2||teaspoons reduced-sodium Worcestershire sauce|
|3/4||teaspoon chili powder|
|1/8||to 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper|
- Preheat oven to 300°F. Combine rice cake pieces, cereal and pretzels in 13X9-inch baking pan. Combine margarine, Worcestershire, chili powder and pepper in small bowl. Drizzle over cereal mixture; toss to combine. Bake 20 minutes, stirring after 10 minutes.
