Peppy Snack Mix

If you are closely watching the sodium in your diet, make this recipe with sodium-free rice cakes and low-sodium pretzels.


Makes 6 (2/3-cup) servings


3 (3-inch) plain rice cakes, broken into bite-size pieces
1-1/2 cups bite-size frosted shredded wheat biscuit cereal
3/4 cup pretzel sticks, halved
3 tablespoons reduced-fat margarine, melted
2 teaspoons reduced-sodium Worcestershire sauce
3/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 300°F. Combine rice cake pieces, cereal and pretzels in 13X9-inch baking pan. Combine margarine, Worcestershire, chili powder and pepper in small bowl. Drizzle over cereal mixture; toss to combine. Bake 20 minutes, stirring after 10 minutes.
