Red Green Salsa

This recipe is part of the recipe for Cheesy Chorizo Wedges


Makes 1 cup


1 small red bell pepper
1/4 cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro
3 green onions, cut into thin slices
2 fresh jalapeño peppers,* seeded, minced
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt

*Jalapeño peppers can sting and irritate the skin, so wear rubber gloves when handling peppers and do not touch your eyes.


  1. Cut bell pepper lengthwise in half; remove and discard seeds and veins. Cut halves lengthwise into thin slivers; cut slivers crosswise into halves.
  2. Mix all ingredients in small bowl. Let stand, covered, at room temperature 1 to 2 hours to blend flavors.
