Salsa Cruda

2 cups chopped tomato
1/4 cup minced onion
1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro (optional)
1/4 cup lime juice
1 jalapeño pepper,* seeded, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced

*Jalapeño peppers can sting and irritate the skin, so wear rubber gloves when handling peppers and do not touch your eyes.


  1. Combine tomato, onion, cilantro, lime juice, jalapeño and garlic in small bowl. Stir to combine.
