Makes 2 cups guacamole


2 large avocados, peeled, pitted and roughly mashed
1 medium tomato, seeded and chopped
1 to 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 tablespoons coarsely chopped fresh cilantro


  1. Combine all ingredients in medium bowl.
  2. Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap forming an airtight seal on surface of guacamole and refrigerate up to 4 hours.


Some people swear that placing an avocado pit in the center of the guacamole prevents it from discoloring. Why not try it and see!
