Sour Cream Garlic Mashed Potatoes the Editors of Publications International, Ltd.
Makes 8 to 10 servings
|2||pounds red potatoes, peeled* and cut into 1-inch chunks|
|6||cloves garlic, peeled|
|1/4||cup (1/2 stick) butter|
|1||cup sour cream|
|1||teaspoon salt, or to taste|
|1/2||teaspoon white pepper|
*For more texture, leave the potatoes unpeeled.
- Place potatoes and garlic cloves in large saucepan; cover with water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat; simmer about 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain well in colander; return to saucepan. Add butter; mash potatoes. Stir in sour cream, salt and white pepper.
