Sweet Hot Chicken Wings

Ingredients
3 | pounds chicken wings |
3/4 | cup salsa |
2/3 | cup honey |
1/3 | cup soy sauce |
1/4 | cup Dijon-style mustard |
2 | tablespoons vegetable oil |
1 | tablespoon grated fresh ginger |
1/2 | teaspoon grated lemon peel |
1/2 | teaspoon grated orange peel |
Preparation
- Cut off and discard wing tips from chicken. Cut each wing in half at joint. Place wings in 13X9-inch baking dish.
- Combine salsa, honey, soy sauce, mustard, oil, ginger, orange peel and lemon peel in small bowl; mix well. Pour over chicken wings. Marinate, covered, in refrigerator at least 6 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Place chicken wings in single layer on foil-lined, 15X10-inch jelly-roll pan. Pour marinade evenly over chicken wings. Bake 40 to 45 minutes until brown. Serve warm with additional salsa and garnish, if desired.
