Makes 8 (1/4-cup sevings)
|2||cans (10 ounces each) no-salt-added whole tomatoes, undrained|
|1||teaspoon olive oil|
|3||cloves garlic, minced|
|1/4||cup chopped fresh parsley|
|2||tablespoons chopped fresh sage|
|1/4||teaspoon black pepper|
- Place tomatoes in food processor or blender; process until finely chopped. Set aside.
- Heat oil in medium saucepan over low heat. Add tomatoes, garlic, parsley, sage, sugar and black pepper. Cook over medium heat 30 minutes or until thickened.
