Makes 6 servings (1 patty with 1 tortilla)
|6||(7- to 8-inch) whole wheat or spinach tortillas|
|1||can (4 ounces) diced mild green chiles, drained|
|1/2||cup uncooked quick oats|
|1/4||cup sliced green onions|
|1||teaspoon dried oregano|
|1||teaspoon ground cumin|
|1/4||teaspoon black pepper|
|1||pound 93% lean ground turkey or 95% lean ground beef|
|1-1/2||cups shredded romaine lettuce|
|1/4||cup taco sauce|
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Wrap tortillas in foil. Bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Do not open foil.
- Combine egg, chilies, oats, onions, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper in large bowl. Add ground turkey; mix well. Shape into 6 (4x2-inch) oval patties.
- Spray rack of broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place patties on rack. Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat source 10 to 12 minutes or until no longer pink in center (165°F), turning once.
- To serve, place each patty on one warm tortilla. Top with lettuce and taco sauce. Wrap tortillas around patties.
